About Lepsta Developers

Lepsta Developers is an initiative by Lepsta, a software company that builds productivity tools for other developers. With over 2000 developers across South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, Mozambique, and the United States, Lepsta Developers organizes events to discuss and educate about the future of software development.

We are looking for a self-driven and ambitious tech-savvy professional who is highly organized with amazeballs attention to detail. You must understand technology and have experience in organizing events and managing people.



  • Continually develop , refine and implement strategies for the community;

  • Continually make sure that all  community representatives in other countries are doing their best to keep the quantity and quality of local meetups as high as possible;

  • Collates and filter feedback from other community representatives;

  • Evaluate and appoint new community representatives;

  • Provide adhoc communication and updates to other community representatives globally;

  • In the event that activities level is dropping, you should make sure that  improve activity level in respective cities.

  • Support other community representatives by answering their questions, concerns and doubts.

  • Collate and filter this feedback and report this to the Head of Community. Together, we should continually make sure that all Lepsta Developers systems and documentation are well-designed that each Local Leader can operate 99% independently and with minimum work burden/maximum impact.

  • At certain intervals — for example every 3 to 6 months — the Community Manager should send out an email (perhaps a type of newsletter) to all local group members in that country and tell them about success stories of various local groups

  • Create smart work processes, better document templates, better email notifications, improvements of the community portal, more automation, etc…

  • Help community representatives  from all cities to schedule meet-ups for to ensure everything runs as smoothly as possible;




  • Proven work experience as a community manager or similar role

  • Experience planning and leading community initiatives

  • Ability to identify and track relevant community KPIs

  • Excellent verbal communication skills

  • Excellent writing skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills

  • Hands on experience with social media management

  • Ability to interpret website traffic

  • Knowledge of online marketing

  • Attention to detail, critical-thinker and problem-solver

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations or relevant field is an advantage
